Local Rules – General

1. ABNORMAL COURSE CONDITIONS (Rule 16-1)
a) When playing any hole other than the 18th, the white posts defining the boundary at the 18th hole are obstructions.
b) Concrete Road Blocks
c) Septic tank adjacent to the 18th fairway
d) Newly laid artificial plants
e) Metalled roads i.e. crossing the 1st, 2nd, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 13th, 14th, 18th parallel to the left of the 3rd green and behind the 9th green.
f) Mine shaft capping , cairns
g) Distance marker posts and plates
h) Green drain covers and concrete water supply covers
i) Trees with rabbit guards
j) Wheel nuts (not faint impressions) in the general area and on the green.
k) Horse hoof marks
l) The practice chipping area at the front of the clubhouse
m) Animal dung, at the discretion of the player and with the consent of his Marker / Opponent. Relief is restricted to the lie and area of the intended swing and not stance.
n) All roads and tracks other than those listed above, fence, and the stone building by the 13th tee are an integral part of the course.
o) When a ball has struck any overhead wires, it must be replayed without a penalty.
Penalty for breach of a local rule - Match Play – Loss of Hole / Stroke Play – 2 Strokes

Please Note: Areas of the course have pedestrian access and players should take great care in playing their shots

Please Note: The birdie sweep is an integral part of a competition. Only fully completed cards will qualify

Distance posts are 150 yards to the centre of the green. Temporary local rules when applicable are displayed on the club notice board and in the Professionals Shop

Blue - Front of the Green
Yellow - Middle of the Green
White- Back of the Green

Out of Bounds - Rule 18 - 2a

a) A ball coming to rest either in or over, any boundary hedge, fence, wall or marker post enclosing land which is not part of the course.
b) The clubhouse, car park and practice ground as defined by the kerb stones and posts.
c) 1st Hole. In or over the hedge to the left of the tee.
d) 2nd Hole. Over the marker posts to the left of the tee between the red and white marker posts.
e) 3rd Hole. Over the white posts to the left of the 7th fairway between the red and the white marker posts.
f) 4th Hole. Beyond the white posts to the right of the 5th tee.
g) 5th Hole. Over the white posts to the right of the tee.
h) 7th Hole. Over the white marker posts to the right of the tee between the red and white marker posts.
i) 8th Hole. Over the marker posts to the left of the 2nd fairway between the red and white marker posts.
j) 9th Hole. On the 1st green or fairway or on or over the main road to the right of the hole. Beyond the white posts to the rear of the green.
k) 10th Hole. Over the white posts to the left of the tee between the red and white marker posts.
l) 13th Hole. On or over the white posts to the right of the tee between the red and white marker posts, and or over the road to the right of the tee beyond the red and white marker posts. Past the white marker posts to the rear of the green.
m) 14th Hole. On or over the quarry boundary wall or white posts to the right of the tee up to the 16th tee.
n) 18th Hole. Beyond the white marker posts to the right of the tee up to a line between the red and white marker posts, or in or beyond the hedge bordering the 1st tee.
